Hydrogen Safety for Nuclear Power Plants

The Fukushima nuclear power plant accident in 2011 was a devastating event caused by a hydrogen explosion resulting from concentrated hydrogen after a tsunami cut off power to the plant. By converting low concentrations of hydrogen into water, QuantumCat catalysts can effectively eliminate generated hydrogen, even in the event of power failure. With the potential to fundamentally block hydrogen explosions, QuantumCat catalysts represent a new and exciting development in this critical field.

Super Long Life & High-Efficiency Fuel Cells

QuantumCat catalysts offer a solution to the challenges faced by existing platinum metal catalysts used in hydrogen fuel cells. While platinum catalysts require high temperatures above 60°C, QuantumCat catalysts can operate at low temperatures, oxidizing hydrogen at just 25°C. Moreover, the performance of platinum catalysts is often compromised by the presence of small amounts of carbon monoxide in the hydrogen, but QuantumCat catalysts can effectively remove carbon monoxide while operating at lower temperatures, making them ideal for use in extreme environments.

Petrochemicals and Energy

Catalysts are crucial in the petrochemical industry, accounting for over 90% of the process. However, most of the conventional catalysts require high-temperature operations, leading to significant energy consumption and cost. By using QuantumCat catalysts that function at low temperatures, energy usage can be reduced, and costs can be lowered. This will enhance national competitiveness in the petrochemical industry.
